Therapy for Couples
“The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step”~ Lao Tzu
I help women in their 40’s who feel stuck, anxious, or unfulfilled rediscover themselves, build healthier relationships, and step into a more authentic, meaningful life. I also help couples strengthen communication, rebuild trust and reconnect emotionally so their relationships can feel more secure and fulfilling.
Meet Shanna
A guide, a learner, a listener
Hi, I’m Shanna a Clinical Mental Health Counselor and founder of Serenic Counseling Services. I specialize in helping women in midlife, typically in their 40’s who feel anxious, stuck, overwhelmed or unfulfilled rediscover themselves, build healthier relationships and step into a more authentic balanced life. Together, we work toward clarity, balance and reestablishing confidence; helping you not only cope but thrive. Many times my clients are able to unravel what’s holding them back from the life they’ve always envisioned.
I also work with couples who feel disconnected, stuck in conflict, or on edge of separation. I help guide couples in rebuilding trust, improve communication and rediscover the connection they once shared.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. I combine evidenced-based strategies with compassion and a deep belief that lasting change is possible. Whether you’re seeking healthier relationships or a more grounded sense of self. I am here to guide you every step of the way.
What inspires me the most about my work with clients is witnessing first hand true resiliency, transformation and growth.
I look forward to being a part of your healing journey.
HOW WE CAN WORK TOGETHER

My Approach
My approach to therapy is simple. I meet you where you are with no judgment. Together, we will explore what’s weighing you down, uncover the patterns that keep you stuck, and create space for you to reconnect with yourself. Therapy isn’t about fixing you , it’s about supporting you in living more authentically while cultivating a healthier relationship with yourself and others.
I use a range of evidenced-based approaches in my practice. In your first session, we’ll explore what brought you to therapy and decide the most appropriate ways to help you make progress. We may explore both the past and present. We will focus on your resiliency, choices and solutions.
During our time together I’ll help you challenge your thoughts and responses. I will provide you a different perspective to help you understand and manage your challenges confidently.
Think of me as a guide helping you uncover patterns, gain new tools; moving you from surviving to thriving. .
